  • What is an active user?

    With CourseCo, you only pay for your active users. An “active user” is any user who signs-in and actively uses the LMS during a 30-day billing period.
    For example, your business might have 50 users it needs to train with CourseCo. However, you expect only 25 of those users to sign-in and use the LMS over the 30-day billing period. This means you only pay for CourseCo’s ‘Plus’ plan which allows 25 active users. It’s that simple.

  • How does the free trial work?

    We want you to test drive CourseCo and find out firsthand if it meets your requirements. That’s why all of our plans start with a free trial. There is no risk, no obligation, and no credit card required. At any time during your trial, you can upgrade to one of our paid plans and retain all of your branding, settings, and information.

  • Can I change plans?

    Yes, you can change plans. From your next billing period forward you will be charged based on the plan you decide to move to.

  • Which payment methods are accepted?

    You can purchase all plans directly with a credit card. Payment by bank transfer can be arranged for Enterprise plans.

  • What happens if I exceed my monthly active user allowance?

    Firstly, if you exceed your monthly active user limit, don't worry. We will never restrict your learners from accessing CourseCo. Secondly, we will never automatically bill you for a higher plan. If you are over by one or two users, that's no problem. If you feel you'll consistently continue to go above your limit your account manager will discuss upgrading you to a higher plan.

  • What is a portal?

    CourseCo enables companies to create separate portals or custom learning environments for different categories of users, such as, by team, partner, or customer. These portals have their own unique login ( and can be quickly branded. You can also license your courses out to them based on a number of enrollments and/or for a specific timeframe.

  • How does billing work?

    All plans are billed annually in advance.

  • Do I need to pay for a year up front?

    Yes. CourseCo contracts are billed annually by default. We’ve found that customers who commit to a full year of using CourseCo are more successful in the long run. And since your long-term success is our goal, we want to encourage those practices that support that goal. Bottom line: Annual contracts make successful CourseCo customers. And we want you to be successful.
